Meet Your Inspector – Kyle Ansel
I started Vail Home Inspections after I saw there was a need for honest, qualified, modern inspections. Having a background in residential construction, customer service, and property management made merging the three the perfect fit. I am a graduate of Carson Dunlop & Associates Ltd., an ASHI Certified Home Inspector, a Council-Certified Microbial Investigator, a NRPP Certified Radon Measurer, and a FAA Part 107 drone pilot.
I am an ASHI certified home inspector, who has met the rigorous standards set by the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI). ASHI is one of the leading professional organizations for home inspectors in the United States, and obtaining certification from ASHI demonstrates a commitment to excellence and professionalism in the home inspection industry.
To become ASHI certified, a home inspector must meet the following requirements:
Education: Completion of a comprehensive home inspection training program that covers the various aspects of residential construction, building systems, and inspection techniques.
Experience: Accumulation of a minimum number of 250 inspections conducted under the supervision of a qualified mentor or independently. This hands-on experience ensures that inspectors are proficient in conducting thorough inspections.
Examination: Successful completion of the ASHI National Home Inspector Examination, which tests the inspector’s knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and inspection procedures.
Adherence to Standards of Practice: Commitment to following ASHI’s Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics, which outline the responsibilities and ethical guidelines that inspectors must uphold in their practice.
Continuing Education: Participation in ongoing professional development and continuing education courses to stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and changes in building codes and regulations.
ASHI certified home inspectors are recognized for their expertise, professionalism, and dedication to providing high-quality inspection services to homebuyers, sellers, and real estate professionals. Hiring an ASHI certified inspector can provide peace of mind to clients, knowing that they are working with a qualified and trustworthy professional who will conduct a thorough assessment of the property.
